PAPA MAO MAO! is the musical we never knew we had written.

The idea of making a musical based on GABBA songs has been talked about for years. I thought that if we had a proper story, where the songs appeared as though they had been written before, then it would work; and this is what we have done.

Our lyrics have always been about relationships and were little l.o.v.e. stories in themselves. PAPA MAO MAO! features 22 of our songs performed by a 22 strong cast in just under 22 minutes. PAPA MAO MAO! held its world premiere in Noo Yawk at the Prince Edmund Theatre on 6 January 2001, 25 years to the day that we won the Eurovision Snog Contest.

Enjoy The Show!
